We have been called on to cover many entertainment events and act as the social media arm. Our team will work at each event, taking pictures, creating content, and broadcasting information on each social media profile. The whole idea is give people an inside look at a high profile event, in real time.

This year we were called on to cover the Daytime Emmy Gift Lounge

We assembled a small team to attend and document the event. This is a closed event that the normal person never gets to attend, much less look in on. All the stars from daytime TV are invited to walk the room and receive gifts from new and hot brands. Everything from apparel, jewelry and watches, even skin creams are available for the celebrities. We worked the room that day taking pictures of each celebrity as they sampled different items. Once we captured a daytime star with a hot new brand, we would put that picture up on Twitter and Instagram, mentioning the celebrity, tagging the brand, and of course #DaytimeEmmyGiftLounge.

People from all over the world were able to walk the floor with us. They got an inside look into what new brands their favorite daytime star loved. They were given an insight into new brands poised to hit the market. Best of all they were able to engage. They could send remarks to their favorite soap opera star saying, “Those sunglasses look great on you!” Or “You are so beautiful; you don’t even need skin cream.”

At the end of the event we even created galleries on Facebook so anyone who missed it could go through the pictures. Engagement numbers were high. During the event we had over 20K people viewing our content and commenting.   A-List daytime TV stars were engaging with fans, replying to their tweets and favoriting comments.

Social media coverage like this connects the regular fan with a world that previously, they only saw through an edited TV spot after the fact. With a team like ours, now fans can interact in real time and really share in the fun. This kind of experience is priceless for celebrities and brands. Now they are not just “on display”. People feel connected, and an emotional bond, of sorts, is created.
